AFHD-4 features an omnidirectional receive pattern with 520-1620 kHz (AM) and 88 to 108 MHz (FM) coverage November 23, 2015

TALLMADGE, Ohio—DX Engineering has announced that it is now the exclusive manufacturer and distributor of the AFHD-4 Antenna. This AM/FM/HD receive antenna is designed for audiophile-grade and vintage radios, as well as community-antenna applications, to improve analog signal reception and lessen HD digital phasing and drop out issues.

The AFHD-4 features an omnidirectional receive pattern with 520-1620 kHz (AM) and 88 to 108 MHz (FM) coverage. The antenna has been proven to have up to a 90 mile range for AM mono and a 50 mile range for AM digital, and as much as an 80 mile range for FM stereo, and 50 miles for FM digital.

The antenna package includes a splitter that sends each signal to the appropriate antenna port on the receiver, a 4-foot antenna, a coax twin-lead adapter, and a mounting bracket. It is also served by a single run of RG-6 coaxial cable, which is sold separately.
