ZAGREB, Croatia —A test of a new DAB+ multiplex transmitter network started on Nov. 20 in Croatia. At least four transmitters are operating, in Sljeme, Ivanščica, Mirkovica and Učka. The signals provide coverage of the City of Zagreb and eight counties: Zagreb, Krapina-Zagorje, Varaždin, Međimurje, Karlovac and Sisak-Moslavina and Primorsko-goranska and Istarska County. The mux network carries 16 radio stations and will reach more than two million listeners, according to tportal.hr

Since this is a test period, conventional FM signals will continue, though on FM “...there is no room for new broadcasters. The digital signal will enable new broadcasters to work, and expand existing and up-to-date content," said Minister of Sea, Transport and Infrastructure Oleg Butković in the same article.
