OAKHURST, Calif. — The latest version of Acoustica’s multi-track recording and music production software is now available, the Mixcraft 8. Offered in two packages, the Mixcraft 8 Recording Studio and Mixcraft 8 Pro Studio, the updated software now features a next-generation sound engine design.
The Mixcraft 8 Recording Studio is the standard version designed for homes and project studios. It comes with a recording studio with unlimited audio and MIDI tracks, video editing and a performance panel for real-time live loop triggering. New features for the package include the EU ProMixEQ-10A Equalizer, DTC-1 Compressor and ORB7000 Octave Reverb. Users have access to 15 virtual instruments, 28 effects and more than 7,800 loops, samples and sound effects as part of the package.
The Mixcraft 8 Pro Studio adds on to those enhancements with integration of Melodyne Essentials and Celemony’s pitch-correction technology. It also offers new instruments like a Kastelheimer Veldberg XD, a synthesizer and an eight-output version of Mixcraft’s Omni Sampler. Additional effects are also available in the Pro Studio package.
General features and enhancements that have been included in these new versions include a new Audio Control system for control of effect and instrument parameters through audio of other tracks within a project. Live recording directly to the performance panel, VST3 plug-in support, MP4 video file support, VSTs sidechaining support, global automation recording, MIDI clock/sync transmission, an integrated file browser, an improved user interface and a Mix Down to Stems feature are also among the software’s new features.
Acoustica is offering the Mixcraft 8 Recording Studio for $89 and the Mixcraft Pro Studio for $179.
