Softwright TAP Debuts International 1 Arcsecond Topo Data

Replaces 3 arcsecond resolution elevation data December 14, 2015

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va.—Softwright has been offering 3 arcsecond resolution elevation data, which is approximately 90 meters in data step size, for its TAP system. This calculates values based on interpolating between points on a grid having step size of 90 meters. Now, the company has premiered a new data set, one that measures in 1 arcsecond, or 30 meter grid step size.

With 1 arcsecond measurements, the topo elevation grid is now nine times greater point density. This higher resolution is set to improve result accuracy.

In addition, Softwright has also announced new sources of worldwide high-resolution clutter and land use data.
