V-Soft Communications Updates AM-Pro 2 Software
Utilizes new FCC AM revitalization rules and proposals
December 2, 2015
CEDAR FALLS, Iowa—V-Soft Communications has upgraded its AM-Pro 2 software, giving it the ability to study AM station allocations using the new FCC AM revitalization rules and proposals.
Studies can be run with the current rules or the newly proposed rules through a check box. For daytime allocation studies, proposed D/U ratios and protected contour levels can be examined automatically. For nighttime allocation, the new protection ratios and the 50 percent RSS exclusion method can be used and the ‘ratchet rule’ power reductions are gone. These changes allow users to easily compare and examine improvement possibilities under the AM revitalization proposed rules.
The update will be available for free for existing AM-Pro 2 users on technical support in the next automatic download.
