Washington, DC – Sep 27, 2010 - The 2010 Radio Show will include a conversation between FCC Commissioner Robert McDowell and NAB President and CEO Gordon Smith, moderated by NAB Executive Vice President and General Counsel Jane Mago.

Held at the Grand Hyatt Washington Hotel at 3:15 p.m. on Sept. 30, "A Conversation with Commissioner McDowell" will examine the key issues facing radio today. Topics will include HD Radio, the future of media, radio advertising and radio translators.

Commissioner McDowell was appointed to the FCC in 2006 and was reappointed in 2009. He joined the FCC with 16 years of experience working in the communications industry. Smith was named president and CEO of the NAB in 2009, and previously served as a two-term U.S. senator from Oregon and senior advisor in the Washington offices of Covington & Burling. As a member of the U.S. Senate, Smith's committee assignments included the Senate Commerce, Science and Transportation Committee, the panel that oversees all broadcast-related legislation. He also served on the Senate Energy and Natural Resources Committee, the Senate Finance Committee and the Senate Foreign Relations Committee.
