NAB Show Debuts Broader-Caster Competition
Washington - Jan 6, 2010 - The NAB Show organizers have created a user-generated video competition featuring video clips that will showcase the role NAB Show participants play within the content community. The competition, dubbed "And I'm a Broader-caster," provides an outlet for NAB Show audience members to explore the effect user-generated content has on the evolving content community. Produced by the NAB Show and Reality Digital, the competition will run from Jan. 15 to March 15, 2010.
Defined as "one who creates, manages, buys or sells, distributes or delivers audio, video or filmed content for global consumption on any device-stationary or mobile," the term "broader-caster" applies to anyone contributing to the content lifecycle. Those interested in entering the competition must submit a 60-second video clip that includes the phrase "and I'm a broader-caster." Participants must also include information in the video that explains what the term broader-caster means to them, as well as how that term applies to their role within the content creation, development and distribution process.
"And I'm a Broader-caster" is free and open to everyone. The winning video will be featured onsite and streamed online during the 2010 NAB Show. Additionally, the competition winner will receive a round-trip flight to Las Vegas (available from anywhere within the continental United States), hotel accommodations for six nights and an NAB Show Conference Smart Pass registration providing free access to all sessions, conferences, luncheons and exhibits featured at the NAB Show. All submissions will be reviewed by a team of judges selected by the NAB. Additional information is online at www.nabshowcontest.com.
