NAB2005 Photo Blog - April 19
Radio magazine brings NAB2005 to you in photos from the convention.
Kim & Megan of Primedia distributed copies of Radio magazine, as well as our sister publications who also attended NAB this year: Broadcast Engineering, Millimeter, S&VC and Mix. When the Central Lobby bins ran empty of copies of Radio magazine, NAB-goers walked to Primedia's booth in the lower level of South Hall to get the latest issues.
Marsh Gooch of Tascam pointed out new CD playback and multi-tracking editing packages to Radio magazine's Kari Taylor at Tascam's booth in the lower level of South Hall.
Meet and greet at the OMT/Imediatouch booth in the LVCC North Hall.
With apologies to Rhymin' Simon, this sign on the Logitek monitoring kiosk had us humming, "Gotta get the meter...Peter."
Minutes before the LVCC floor opens, the Netia staff handles some last-minute tweaking of its products in the North Hall.
It was no accident that Total Training's booth featuring DVD training programs for products like Adobe Audition, Adobe Photoshop, and Adobe In Design was adjacent to the huge Adobe demonstration area in LVCC's South Hall, lower level.
The Surround Sound Mixing Pavilion in the North Radio Hall was usually occupied only by equipment.
This year's theme, 'The Future Starts Here' was echoed everywhere from the huge signs on the LVCC front wall, to posters and billboards throughout the Convention area.
The Ibiquity booth included this vehicle with a demonstration of HD Radio multicast.
The Ibiquity booth also displayed several models of automotive HD Radio receivers.
Ibiquity held a press conference to preview the upcoming HD Radio receivers. Representatives from Polk Audio, Boston Acoustics, Panasonic and Radiosophy were on hand.

Combiners are an important element in many IBOC systems, and Shively was ready to explain the technology.
Many exhibitors included vehicles in their displays to demonstrate the mobile IBOC systems. As a side note, it's interesting to see the variety of attendees that the convention attracts.
