AEQ Moves to Greener Pastures
AEQ's new eco-friendly headquarters
Leganés, Spain - Nov 1, 2010 - After 30 years, AEQ has moved its operations to a newly built facility located in the Legatec Scientific Business Park in Leganés, a suburb of Madrid.
AEQ's new headquarters has triple the capacity of its previous facility and was built using the latest eco-oriented technologies. An important feature is its ability to generate more photovoltaic power than it consumes, feeding its surplus solar power into the municipal utility authority's power grid. Solid and liquid waste are both recycled, and its large roof collects rainwater which is used both for its fire suppression system and irrigation of the building's landscaping. The building also features a central atrium and a panoramic elevator.
