Broadcast Electronics Hosts Saudi Ministry

Quincy, IL - Oct 6, 2010 - Marking 15 years of partnership and millions of dollars in business, broadcast engineers from Saudi Arabia's Ministry of Culture and Information (MoCI) were welcomed in Quincy by Broadcast Electronics President and CEO Joseph W. Roark and Quincy Mayor John A. Spring.

MoCI Director of Engineering Mizyad Al Omar and engineer Ayman Al Zahrani, with BE Saudi representatives Nasr Atwan and Madhukar Sonpal of Thales, arrived in Quincy from Saudi Arabia visited BE's corporate headquarters to preview the company's STX LP transmitter, of which over 30 1kW to 5kW units are scheduled for shipment to Saudi in 4Q2010.

The MoCI, Saudi Arabia's state-run broadcast agency, has purchased over more than BE FM transmitters ranging in power from 500W to 10kW along with associated RF equipment over the past several years.

During an appreciation ceremony honoring its guests on Wednesday, Roark presented the visitors plaques in recognition of the friendship and partnership shared by the companies, while Mayor Spring presented Al-Omar and Sonpal with keys to the city.
