Traffic.com Signs Multi-Year Agreement With Texas Public Radio
Wayne, PA - Sep 26, 2007 - Traffic.com, a NAVTEQ company, announced a three-year agreement with Texas Public Radio stations KSTX 89.1 FM, KPAC 88.3 FM and KTXI 90.1 FM to provide real-time traffic solutions for radio broadcast and website content as well as email and mobile alert solutions to drivers in San Antonio and South Central Texas.
TPR traffic broadcasters create their on-air reports using up-to-the-minute Traffic.com traffic information via Traffic.com Broadcaster, an Internet-delivered traffic information management system. Traffic.com broadcast solutions are powered by NAVTEQ Traffic data sources which include real-time traffic flow information from road sensors as well as historical data and information on roadway construction projects. Traffic.com solutions include real-time vehicle speeds, congestion levels, travel times and delay times as well as predictive traffic trends, delivered via radio, television, Web, wireless devices and in-vehicle navigation systems.
In addition to on-air traffic reports, the full suite of Traffic.com online and mobile alert solutions is available to the audience through the Texas Public Radio Web site: www.tpr.org.
