APTX Expands Engineering Team

Belfast, Northern Ireland - Mar 11, 2010 -APTX has appointed two new field application engineers: Damien Vandenbeyvanghe and Simon Denvir. The two new recruits join APTX as the company expands its licensing activity with tier 1 manufacturers.

Damien Vandenbeyvanghe joins APTX having previously worked with Alcatel-Lucent in its Layer 1 team, helping develop LTE. Prior to that Vandenbeyvanghe worked with Sony Ericsson as an audio software engineer developing music players for mobile phones. His background includes audio processing from low- to high-level source code embedded on DSPs or microcontrollers and with vast customer support experience.

With a background in electrical and electronic engineering, Simon Denvir has worked in IT and engineering for companies including Nortel, Allstate and Danaher. Prior to joining APTX, Denvir spent four years with Qualitrol, where he maintained, supported and developed power quality systems, a monitoring technology for the Electric power industry that makes extensive use of TI DSPs and acquisition hardware intended for use in audio applications.
