Alliance for Women in Media Announces 2011 Board of Directors

McLean, VA - Mar 29, 2011 - The Alliance for Women in Media (AWM) announced its 2011 National Board of Directors, which was installed last week in Washington, DC, in conjunction with the AWM Board Meeting and Symposium on Women's Media Ownership. Valerie K. Blackburn, market controller at CBS Radio in Los Angeles, CA, will serve as the national chair.

Serving as vice chair is Kay Olin, president, Local Focus Radio, Atlanta, GA. The treasurer is Kristen Welch, senior vice president, Global Content Operations, Discovery Communications, Silver Spring, MD; and the treasurer-elect is Sarah Foss, a media consultant from Richmond, VA.

The following will serve as directors at large:
