Clear Channel Radio Names Kaufman as SVP Revenue Management
San Antonio - Mar 2, 2009 - Clear Channel Radio has appointed John Kaufman to SVP revenue management. In this newly created position, Kaufman will be responsible for increasing the company's key capability for revenue management.
Most recently, Kaufman was executive vice president of revenue management and electronic marketing at Extended Stay Hotels, where he was responsible for the company's revenue management strategy and managing all reservation distribution channels and relationships. Prior to Extended Stay Hotels, he was vice president of global revenue management at Starwood Hotels and Resorts, leading an organization responsible for maximizing revenue at Starwood's 900 hotels around the world. In his career history, he has also held key positions at Priceline.com and American Airlines.
Kaufman has an MBA from Duke University's Fuqua School of Business, and a BA from Cornell University. He is frequently a guest lecturer on revenue management in the travel industry at Columbia University's Graduate School of Business, and he is currently involved with the Glass Leadership Institute of the Anti-Defamation League. He has also served on the general board and the executive board of the Jewish Federation of Westport, Weston, Wilton and Norwalk (Connecticut), committees at Temple Israel of Westport, and been involved in various Cornell University alumni organizations.
