Enco Appoints Backus as General Manager

Southfield, MI - Apr 21, 2011 - Enco Systems has appointed Don Backus as general manager. Backus is currently vice president of sales and marketing and will retain those responsibilities in his new role. Backus joined Enco Systems in March 1999 as sales manager and has been VP of sales and marketing since January 2000.

Eugene Novacek, president and CEO of Enco Systems felt the time was right to expand and refine the leadership team at Enco, and did so with someone he and the company already know and have confidence in.

Prior to joining Enco Systems in 1999, Backus was digital systems manager for Audio Broadcast Group in Grand Rapids, MI, and was also president and general manager of WDBI-FM in Tawas City-East Tawas, MI. He attended Michigan State University studying telecommunications and education.
