Howell Hatton of Belar Dies
May 27, 2010 - Reading, PA - Howell Hatton, operations manager of Belar, died on May 27, 2010. He was 58. He had worked for Belar for 10 years.
According to Arno Meyer, president of Belar, Hatton was cutting the grass when he suffered a massive heart attack. Meyer referred to Hatton as "his right-hand man." Hatton did a little of everything for Belar.
Belar was Hatton's first direct broadcast experience. He had previously worked for Tandy and was also a police man. He was Microsoft Certified and held a black belt in Tang Soo Do, a Korean martial art.
According to Meyer, Hatton's true passion was cars. Hatton also worked at an auto parts store.
