Murphy Joins Harris as Broadcast Center Manager
Cincinnati - Dec 18, 2001 - Harris Corporation announces that Randall Murphy has joined the company’s Broadcast Communications Division (BCD) as Harris Broadcast Center manager. In his new position, Murphy will handle the day-to-day operations of Harris’ ordering center for more than 360 broadcast equipment manufacturers and 30,000 products at the BCD headquarters in Cincinnati.
Murphy joins Harris from Bausch & Lomb, Rochester, NY, where he was sales manager for the company’s call/sales center and customer service departments that were responsible for handling 25,000 calls per week. Most recently, Murphy also was a director of sales for The Sutherland Group, a national computer reseller based in Rochester, general manager for Broadcast New Files, Rochester, and owner/operator of a home-based video production center.
