SCMS Announces Two Appointments
Pineville, NC - Sep 28, 2001 - SCMS announces two appointments and the creation of a new sales office. Doug Tharp has been appointed as the west coast representative for broadcast products and Chris Singleton has joined SCMS as a sales engineer and is opening a new field sales office for the Maryland, District of Columbia and upper Virginia area.
Tharp most recently worked for Harris Corporation as one of its west coast district sales managers. He graduated from Indiana University in 1998 with a BA in business management. He started doing business from his office in Vista, CA, near San Diego, on October 1, 2001.
Singleton was most recently director of Northeast sales for Adaptive Broadband Corporation. Prior to that position, he was sales manager for Applied Wireless, regional sales manager for Intraplex, field sales engineer for Northeast Broadcast Labs, regional chief engineer for Benchmark Communications and worked as chief engineer for WHVY/WYRE, Annapolis, MD, and WQHQ/WSBY, Saliisbury, MD. He served as a special project engineer for Greater Media WGAY/WWRC and as director of engineering for Clark Broadcasting.
Singleton attended Chesapeake Community College and the University of Maryland and studied Electronics Engineering Technology. In addition to equipment sales, Chris will be providing on-site engineering and equipment integration to clients that need this service.
