Wegener VP Merithew Elected President SSPI Chapter
Duluth, GA - May 19, 2009 - Kamy Merithew, vice president of marketing for Wegener, has been elected president of the 2009 Board of Directors for the Society of Satellite Professionals International Southeast Chapter (SSPI-SE).
With four chapters in North America and other chapters around the world, the SSPI is a nonprofit organization that provides education, networking, and other professional development to more than 3,000 members of the satellite industry. The new SSPI-SE board of directors includes representatives from a range of content providers, service providers and manufacturers. Merithew had previously served as executive vice president and secretary/treasurer for the SSPI-SE, and was actively involved in the launch of the chapter in 2006.
Based in Atlanta, the SSPI-SE has more than 400 members across eight states. Atlanta is a hub for the satellite industry, home to several cable channels as well as satellite communication product and service providers.
