Zapis Joins Sonicbids' Board
Boston and Cleveland - Sep 25, 2007 - Sonicbids, an online submission platform for indie bands and musicians, announced Lee Zapis, co-founder of Zapis Communications and President of Cleveland-based Zapis Capital Group, has joined the company’s board of directors.
Zapis’ role with Sonicbids will be in an advisory capacity, helping to infuse new ideas into the company with regard to working with radio and communications companies while helping to fast-track the company’s growth using his knowledge of media and interactive services.
While in the broadcast industry, Zapis was president of Zapis Communications, a closely held corporation that owned and operated radio stations in Cleveland, Akron and Youngstown, OH, as well as Atlanta and Boston. Under Zapis’ guidance, the stations received numerous national broadcast awards, including: Billboard Magazine's Black Radio Station of the Year; Program Director of the Year; Music Director of the Year and Air Personality of the Year. Zapis Communications stations were also nominated eight times for the Marconi award, the highest honor of the National Association of Broadcasters.
