Radio One has ordered 52 Burk PPM Assurance units. The system will be deployed across the radio group’s Arbitron PPM markets to automate recovery in the event of a PPM encoding failure. The Burk PPM Assurance was one of the winners of the Radio magazine Pick Hit Award at the 2010 NAB Show.


The Educational Media Foundation (EMF) has ordered more than 100 Wegener Ipump 6420 audio media servers for ongoing expansion and replacement of the foundation's file-based and live radio broadcasting networks. In addition, EMF has ordered MP3 audio support licenses for its Ipump 6400 and Ipump 6420 servers, which will be used to implement advertisement and programming playout verification, monitor station broadcasts, and backhaul specific programs for archiving.


Foneshow will deliver The PGA Tour Minute program to cell phone users via audio text messages through an agreement with pgatour.com. The 60-second installments, produced by PGA Tour Productions, will offer golf fans highlights from each round of competition starting at The Barclays, Aug. 27-30, the opening event of the PGA Tour Playoffs for the Fedex Cup.


Telos Zephyr Xstream codecs have been installed at KPCC, Southern California Public Radio; NBC New York; KRLD Dallas; and XM Satellite Radio.


Omnia One audio processors have been put into service at WJMC-AM/FM, Rice Lake, WI; WRAL-FM, Raleigh, NC; KBOW-AM, KOPR-FM, Butte, MT; and WMCX-FM, Monmouth University, West Long Branch, NJ.


Axia Audio networks are powering broadcasts at Country Music Television, Nashville; Emmis Communications KFTK, KIHT, KPNT and KSHE-FM, St. Louis; WBEZ-FM, Chicago; and Entercom stations WGR, WBEN, WKSE, WLKK, WTSS, WWKB and WWWS, Buffalo, NY.
