UK manufacturer Thermionic Culture has invested in a Prism Sound Dscope Series III audio analyzer to help speed the flow of new products moving through its testing and quality control department. The manufacturer has already ordered a second instrument.

Radio France has purchased three Sadie LRX2 portable multi-track location recording systems and two PCM2 laptop-based editing systems. The units will be used for mobile production across France to provide content for the broadcaster's seven national stations.

Several Citadel Broadcasting markets have gone paperless with the Vcreative PPO system. The stations include WLS-AM/FM Chicago and WGKX-FM, WKIM-FM, WRBO-FM and WXMX-FM Memphis.

The Iowa Department of Transportation (Iowa DOT) is using Barix audio over IP devices to monitor its highway traffic updates now being broadcast to interstate commuters around Iowa. Iowa DOT operates Highway Advisor Radio, an information channel transmitted with eight low-power AM and FM transmitters distributed around the state. A Barix Instreamer 100 encoder is connected to a radio receiver at each remote broadcast location to capture the on-air signal and stream it over the DOT's internal network.

Earlier this year, Gulf Coast Radio in Dade County, FL, licensee of WKGC 90.7 FM and WKGC 1480 AM, upgraded its RF facilities with AM, FM and HD Radio equipment from Broadcast Electronics. The stations installed an AM 5E 5kW and an FMI 21T using high-level combining. Also installed was a 10-bay ERI FM antenna.
