Røde Releases HS2 Headset Microphone

New ear strips and fixed arm part of revamped design August 30, 2016

SYDNEY—A complete redesign of its previous HS1 microphone, Røde Microphone has announced that it is set to release it HS2 headset.

The redesigned headset features new flexible, silicone ear strips and a fixed arm, which replaces the articulated arm on the HS1; this allows the boom arm to be moved and shaped. It also features a strain relief system to reduce damage when pulled, and a 3.5mm TRS connector with a removable locking nut that makes it compatible with recording devices and wireless transmitters, including the RødeLink Filmmaker and Newsshooter kits.

The omnidirectional polar pattern microphone is available in either large or small sizes and with a black or pink finish. It is currently being shipped to distributors, according to Røde.
