Sangean Now Offers the WFT-3 Digital Radio Receiver
Company has continued to make “radio” receivers and naturally has adapted them to the evolution of technology

SANTA FE SPRINGS, Calif. — It seems like only yesterday that we were getting boxes of Sangean HD Radio receivers at the station. At the time, they seemed to work pretty well — some issues, but overall they were OK. Sangean has continued to make “radio” receivers and naturally has adapted them to the evolution of technology. Their latest is the WFT-3.
The WFT-3 Digital Receiver was designed to cover the needs of all radio fans since it's fully compatible with Internet, DAB/DAB+ and FM-RDS radio stations. (No mention of HD Radio in this article in nikktech.com, but this is a European release, so that’s to be expected.) It can also be used to stream audio via Spotify premium and/or the UNDOCK app from your mobile devices and can also handle popular audio formats when used as a network or USB media player including MP3 and WMA (Real Audio and ACC+ are also supported for Internet and DAB stations).
Some other features of the WFT-3 are a 3.2-inch color TFT display (320x240p) that shows album art and station displays, stereo RCA and SPDIF optical and coaxial audio outputs, wired (RJ45 10/100) and wireless (802.11 b/g) internet connectivity, UPnP music streaming (DLNA 1.5 compliant), Real time clock synchronized with NTP (Network Time Protocol), 2 Alarm timers (DAB/FM/Internet radio or buzzer) with snooze function and sleep timer and an IR-based remote control.
