Dallas - Sep 20, 2012 - Winners of the 2012 National Association of Broadcasters Marconi Radio Awards were announced at the annual NAB Marconi Radio Awards Dinner and Show held at the Radio Show in Dallas.

Established in 1989 and named after inventor and Nobel Prize winner Guglielmo Marconi, the NAB Marconi Radio Awards are given to radio stations and outstanding on-air personalities to recognize excellence in radio.

AC Station of the Year: WBEB-FM Philadelphia, PA
■ Network/Syndicated Personality of the Year: Dan Patrick, Direct TV/Premiere Networks
■ CHR Station of the Year: KIIS-FM Los Angeles, CA
■ Major Market Station of the Year: WTOP-FM Washington, DC
Country Station of the Year: WYCD-FM Detroit, MI
■ Large Market Station of the Year: KSON-FM San Diego, CA
■ News/Talk Station of the Year: WTOP-FM Washington, DC
■ Medium Market Station of the Year: WHO-AM Des Moines, IA
■ Oldies Station of the Year: WOGL-FM Philadelphia, PA
■ Small Market Station of the Year: WVAQ-FM Morgantown, WV
■ Religious Station of the Year: KLTY-FM Dallas, TX
■ Major Market Personality of the Year: Mike Francesa, WFAN-AM New York, NY
■ Rock Station of the Year: KINK-FM Portland, OR
■ Large Market Personality of the Year: Moon and Staci, KSTP-FM St. Paul, MN
■ Spanish Station of the Year: KMVK-FM Dallas, TX
■ Medium Market Personality of the Year: Jan Mickelson, WHO-AM Des Moines, IA
■ Sports Station of the Year: WEEI-FM Boston, MA
■ Small Market Personality of the Year: Scotty and Carissa in the Morning, KCLR-FM Columbia, MO
■ Urban Station of the Year: WBLS-FM New York, NY

Marconi finalists were selected by a task force of broadcasters, and the winners were voted on by the NAB Marconi Radio Awards Selection Academy. The votes were tabulated by an independent firm. The NAB Marconi Radio Awards Dinner and Show was hosted by Edgar Shoboy Sotelo of CBS Radio's KMVK-FM in Dallas. The show also featured a performance by Melissa Etheridge.
