Washington, DC; New York - Jun 27, 2013 - The National Association of Broadcasters and the Radio Advertising Bureau announced the panelists for the 2013 RRadio Show Leadership Breakfast, titled "Opportunities in a Changing Economy." The event will be held Sept. 19, 7:15-9 a.m. at the Rosen Shingle Creek Hotel in Orlando.
The Leadership Breakfast will feature a panel discussion about expanding opportunities in Radio for acquisitions and revenue in a growing economy. Panelists include Lew Dickey, CEO of Cumulus Media; Mary Quass, CEO of NRG Media; Jeff Warshaw, CEO of Connoisseur Media and Larry Wilson, CEO of Alpha Broadcasting and L&L Broadcasting.
The panel will be moderated by Lew Paper, a partner with Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman, and will be preceded by opening remarks from Marci Ryvicker. Ryvicker monitors developments in broadcasting and other media industries as managing director, senior equity analyst, for Wells Fargo Securities.
Paper, a partner with Pillsbury's communications law practice in Washington, DC, previously served as associate general counsel at the FCC and legislative counsel to United States Senator Gaylord Nelson.
Dickey co-founded Cumulus Media in 1997 and became CEO in 2000. Cumulus now owns and operates more than 570 radio stations, making it the second-largest radio company in the country.
Quass is the CEO of NRG Media, which owns and operates 84 radio stations in the Midwest. Prior to NRG's formation in 2005, Quass held a variety of high-level positions, including CEO of Central Star Communications, which owned and operated 66 radio stations.
Warshaw launched Connoisseur Media in 2004 and is its CEO. Connoisseur operates 39 stations in fourteen markets after its acquisition of ten stations from Nassau Broadcasting and four stations from Cox Radio.
Wilson, founder and CEO of Citadel Broadcasting Corporation (which had 205 radio stations in 42 markets), is now the CEO of Alpha Broadcasting, which owns and operates six radio stations in Portland, Oregon, and the CEO of L&L Broadcasting, which recently acquired Triad Broadcasting's 30 stations in five markets.
