Nissan announced their first vehicle to include HD Radio technology and Hyundai, Kia, Dodge, Jeep, Acura, and Subaru all announced new or refreshed vehicles with HD Radio technology at the NY Auto Show. Nissan: Became the 35th automaker to announce HD Radio technology availability. The all-new 2015 Murano will be the first Nissan vehicle to offer HD Radio technology. Dodge: Announced that the 2015 Challenger and Charger will offer HD Radio technology for the first time. Kia: Announced the new 2015 Sedona will offer HD Radio technology for the first time. Hyundai: Introduced an all-new 2015 Sonata that will continue to offer HD Radio technology. Jeep: Unveiled its new Renegade, which will be the third Jeep vehicle to offer HD Radio technology. Subaru: Showed off the sixth-generation 2015 Outback, which will now include HD Radio technology as a standard feature. Acura: Announced the 2015 TLX that will offer HD Radio technology.
Thirty-five automakers have now publicly announced plans to incorporate HD Radio technology in 185+ models by year-end with more than 90 models featuring HD Radio receivers as standard equipment. Five automakers utilize HD Radio technology to deliver subscription-free traffic and data information to their vehicles.
