New York, NY Oct 30, 2013 Gary Larkin has joined Clear Channel Media and Entertainment as executive vice president of Total Traffic and Weather Network. Larkin will report to John Hogan, Clear Channel Media and Entertainment chairman and CEO.
In September 2013, Total Traffic Network (TTN) introduced a new weather network and rebranded the company as Total Traffic and Weather Network (TT+WN). TT+WN reaches more than 200 million monthly listeners across more than 200 markets, and the expanded division now includes weather reports and localized weather information such as surf and heat index reports to its portfolio as well as new sponsorship opportunities. It provides services to more than 3,000 radio and 200 television affiliates plus automotive, navigation, Internet, mobile and government partners in the United States, Canada and Mexico.
Larkin spent a significant portion of his career at Fox Sports Media Group, where he served as senior vice president of digital sales. During that time, Larkin was responsible for driving advertising revenue, strategy and growth for all Fox Sports digital properties including Foxsports.com, Scout.com, Foxsoccer.com, Whatifsports.com, Yardbarker.com and Fox Sports Mobile. He also worked closely with company executives to ensure sales, marketing, product, editorial, programming and operations were collaborating and prioritizing effectively. Larkin previously served as senior director of sales for the Eastern Region at MSN, where he developed and led the company's largest regional sales team. Larkin's more than 25 years of industry experience also includes additional senior sales roles at CBS Interactive Media and Appssavvy.
