New York - Jan 31, 2014 - The Radio Mercury Awards competition is open to ad agencies, production companies, radio stations, advertisers, schools and universities in the U.S. and worldwide. Entries can be broadcast, non-broadcast or a combination, depending on the category. Entries can be of any length.
New to the awards for 2014 is the introduction of two Showcase Awards to highlight innovative radio work and best use of radio promotions. The Showcase category awards are not in competition for the Best of Show Award. Award organizers are also adding a Spanish Language Campaign Award into the competition.
The 2014 Radio Mercury Awards Prizes are:
■ $50,000 Best of Show
■ $6,000 and $3,000 Agency/Production Company Single
■ $3,000 Public Service/Awareness Single
■ $6,000 Radio Station Produced Single
■ $3,000 Spanish Language Single
■ $1,500 Student Produced Single
■ $6,000 Integrated Campaign with Radio
■ $6,000 and $3,000 Radio Campaign
■ $6,000 Spanish Language Campaign, New
■ $1,500 Innovative Use of Radio, New Showcase Prize
■ $1,500 Radio Promotion of the Year, New Showcase Prize
The entry deadline is April 1, 2014. The 2014 finalists will be announced by early May. The winners will be announced at the 2014 Radio Mercury Awards event on June 4 in New York.
