Ottawa, Canada - June 09, 2014 - Unlimi-Tech Software, Inc., the creator of FileCatalyst, announced an integration partner agreement with Cache-A Corporation.
Cache-A, founded in 2008 and headquarted in Colorado, supplies network-attached small form-factor LTO-5 and 6 archive appliances. With a built-in catalog database, Cache-A archive appliances track content on secure, portable LTO tape cartridges using the LTFS file system or the industry standard tar format.
As media files exponentially increase in size, the delivery of these files between locations becomes more and more important. For users sending and receiving large media files using methods such as email or FTP, file transfers quickly become very slow or unreliable, especially over large geographical distances.
To speed the delivery of these files within its solutions, Cache-A has partnered with FileCatalyst to enable its users to transfer files at accelerated transfer speeds. FileCatalyst''s UDP based acceleration technology enhances the file transfer experience, resulting in transfer that take minutes rather than hours or days, regardless the size or format of the file.
By integrating specifically with the FileCatalyst Direct solution, Cache-A users can experience incredible speed gains over traditional file transfer methods, enabling user transfer speeds thousands of times faster than FTP.
