IABM to Host IBC Conference Session

GLOUCESTERSHIRE, ENGLAND— The IABM will hold a conference session at IBC 2014 on September 12, focusing on the potential impact convergence will have on the technology supply infrastructure.

The IABM breakfast session, entitled “What Future for Broadcast Technology?” will be chaired by John Ive, the organization''s director of business development and technology, with the lead presentation delivered by IABM Chief Executive Peter White.

The event will feature a panel debate, as well as Imagine Communications and Gates Air President Charlie Vogt, Grass Valley President Marco Lopez, Quantel Executive Chairman/CEO Ray Cross and Telestream President/CEO Dan Castles will give their views and predictions.

“As the value and margins in broadcast hardware is rapidly becoming a commodity, the industry''s suppliers are now having to seriously consider embracing software and service-orientated business models,” said White.
