Consumer Electronics product manufacturers have significantly expanded their HD Radio lineups, and several brands announced new entries at the recent 2012 International ConsumerElectronics Show; many of the more than 60 new HD Radio receivers will be on display at the 2012 NAB Show in the HD Radio booth in the Central Hall. These include new products from major brands Alpine, Audiovox, Clarion, Denon, JVC, Garmin, Kenwood, Insignia, Marantz, Pioneer, Yamaha and others.
In conjunction with the TagStation display, mobile smartphones with built-in HD Radio will be demonstrated. These models will feature the recently developed HD Radio app that has been specifically designed to enhance interaction and consumers appeal. Some other new HD Radio features to be displayed at the HD Radio booth at NAB include: The JVC KW-NT800HDT and the KW-NT500HDT, the first products to feature nine separate advanced features, including Instant Info. The first HD Radio receiver to display local radio station Channel Guides. The first radio receiver to display QR Codes tied to over the air content The second Garmin personal navigation device to feature HD Digital Traffic, the Nuvi 3590 LMT. Dozens of models that enable Artist Experience and iTunes Tagging.
