New York - Sep 5, 2012 - Katz Media Group has named Mort Greenberg to be the president of Katz 360, the digital sales arm of Katz Media Group dedicated to growing online and mobile business, effective Oct. 1. Greenberg, who joins Katz 360 from Nokia, has more than 15 years of industry knowledge including print, television, radio, mobile, online, search, video and social advertising experience.
Katz 360 sells four digital platforms under the Katz Online brand: digital audio, mobile, database segmentation and display. These products have been built by aggregating the digital inventory of Katz Media Group's radio and television publishers along with some of the largest publishers and technology providers on the Web.
Greenberg served as the global head of advertising sales for Nokia's Location and Commerce Division where he focused on leveraging the latest location-based ad targeting technologies across the globe. Greenberg was responsible for the integration of its Navteq/Traffic.com broadcast and interactive platforms and led the team that supplied the traffic and location content to 800 radio and TV stations and more than 500 online and mobile sites. His most recent project was the launch of the global interactive trading desk. Prior to Nokia, he led the transformation of NBC Universal's integrated broadcast and digital ad sales for its owned-and-operated television station groups as the VP of local online sales. Before NBCU, Greenberg built Metacafe's sales division and infrastructure from the ground up. Prior to Metacafe, he held executive roles at Ask Jeeves, which was later acquired by IAC/InteractiveCorp as well as Excite.com.
Greenberg graduated from the State University of New York with a bachelor's degree in international relations. He will be stationed in Katz Media Group's New York City offices and report to Kevin Dorsey, president of Clear Channel National Media Groups.
