New York, NY - Feb 10, 2014 - Media Rating Council Executive Director and CEO George W. Ivie announced that Gregg Lindner, most recently executive vice president, radio service innovation and chief research officer for Arbitron (now Nielsen Audio), will join MRC in the new position of senior vice president, research methods and statistics.
Lindner joins the MRC from Arbitron, where his responsibilities included research quality and methods, product development, custom research, and applications, including the development of research methods for Arbitron's cross-platform measurement. As chief research officer, he also oversaw MRC accreditation efforts.
Prior to joining Arbitron in 2011, Lindner was executive vice president at Scarborough Research, where he managed the company's day-to-day business and operations. He also was with Simmons Market Research and had an earlier tenure with Arbitron prior to joining Scarborough in 1995. Lindner earned a masters degree in quantitative analysis and urban studies from the University of Maryland, where he also completed his undergraduate work.
He also currently serves as vice president of the Unionville Chadds Ford (PA) School Board, and is an active volunteer in other community activities. Lindner will start in his new job with the MRC on March 3, 2014.
