Nielsen Certifies WideOrbit’s Digital Platform

NEW YORK— Nielsen has certified WideOrbit’s Clarity platform for measurement of digital audiences. The platform online radio streaming by terrestrial broadcasters, pure play broadcasters and podcasters.

The Clarity streaming platform was created by Abacast, a company WideOrbit acquired last June, and it now has “Nielsen ratings baked right in,” according a press release from Nielsen.

Broadcasters can now access and offer third-party data, creating an alternative for broadcasters and networks to monetize their digital streams and on-demand content.
