Los Angeles - Mar 5, 2002 - RDA Systems successfully completed another radio integration project for Hispanic Broadcasting Corporation consisting of the design, wiring, and installation of a five-station, 12-studio broadcast facility.
The new broadcast facility houses a 30-rack technical operations center, four control rooms, a newsroom, and seven production studios.
RDA arrived in Los Angeles in July, 2001 to begin the first installation phase of the project, the TOC. After completing the TOC, RDA returned to begin the studio installation phase on September 4th. The first station, KLVE-FM, was cutover on September 13th, followed by KRCD/KRCV-FM, and KTNQ-AM. The last station to be cutover was KSCA-FM, on September 22.
The control rooms are using Digital Airwave consoles. A combination of Mackie 8*32 consoles and BMX III consoles were installed in the remaining 12 studios. Among some of the new equipment housed in the TOC includes ATI digital DAs, Audioarts 8400 analog DAs, and a SAS 64000 audio router.
