The online system allows AEs to enter or review production orders from virtually any location. Once submitted, production orders are fully tracked with user, date and time stamping as well as perpetually archived for easy access at any time.
About a dozen private radio stations in Germany, Austria and Switzerland broadcast a concert of Robbie Williams in Cologne live on March 5, 2010. Frankfurt-based Hit Radio FFH was in charge of the signal distribution and decided to use Mayah C1161 ISDN codecs. The signal was sent from the concert venue to the Radio/Tele FFH switching room near Frankfurt over three bundled ISDN lines using Apt-x algorithm via a 384kb/s 48kHz stereo connection. From there, affiliates received the audio via ISDN and 128kb/s connections.
NRC Broadcasting has deployed a Barix audio-over-IP network to distribute programming to five FM booster stations and one AM facility. NRC Broadcasting has set up two Barix distribution systems from its Breckenridge, CO, facility: A point-to-point connection that streams live program audio to KRKY-AM in Granby; and a point-to-multipoint network that streams live program audio to five KCMV-FM booster facilities. The Barix Audio over IP distribution network uses Barix Instreamer 100 IP encoders and Exstreamer 100 IP decoders to deliver audio. The stations previously used Qwest program audio circuits and now saves nearly $2,000 each month in recurring costs.
