The Citadel Broadcasting stations in Knoxville, TN, are signed on for the Paperless Production Order system from Vcreative. PPO is already in use or being adopted at more than 60 Citadel Broadcasting radio stations. Knoxville has also joined the other Citadel markets on the Voice Pool Network, allowing them to share voices between markets for their in-house commercial production.
International Datacasting Corporation has received a contract from the Canadian Department of National Defence (DND) valued at $2.8 million CDN for the continued operation of Canadian Forces Radio and Television (CFRT). The contract represents the first of two renewal options that are part of the overall contract that IDC won in December, 2008. The CFRT network delivers entertainment programming, sports and news over two TV channels (English and French) and FM radio.
The Newtek Tricaster portable live production system is being used by the Steve Harvey Morning Show to live stream video from the nationally syndicated radio program. The live stream, which airs Monday through Friday from 5 a.m. to 9 a.m. CT on www.steveharvey.com, has attracted 508,000 viewers since it debuted and continues to attract approximately 20,000 more followers each week.
