Family Friendly Radio's WBGL-FM in Champaign, IL, has become a repeat Axia client, adding on to its Axia network with a recent order of three Element 2.0 audio consoles plus associated studio equipment. The purchase expands WBGL's Axia installation to four studios; the sale was made by Broadcasters General Store of Ocala, FL.


Univision Radio has signed multi-year contracts for Arbitron's Portable People Meter (PPM radio ratings services in 12 markets: New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, San Francisco, San Jose, CA, Dallas, Miami, San Diego, Phoenix, Las Vegas, San Antonio and Austin, TX. Univision had dropped the service pending resolution of some concern over accurate reading of minority groups. "Based on the steps taken by Arbitron to date to improve the PPM service, and on Arbitron's commitment to continue its current efforts to improve the service, we concluded that we could begin subscribing to the PPM service again," said Ceril Shagrin, executive vice president of Audience Measurement Innovation and Analytics, Univision Communications. Univision Radio has been a subscriber to the Arbitron PPM ratings service in Houston and to the Arbitron diary service in Albuquerque, NM, El Paso, TX, Fresno, CA, McAllen-Brownsville, TX, and Puerto Rico.


Radio 1 has invested in seven Jünger Audio MIX4 compact mixers to record telephone interviews and other source material for its programming. This privately owned commercial radio station broadcasts a mixture of news, music, phone-ins and special reports to local audiences in Zurich, Switzerland.


AdGent Digital, provider of both audience delivery systems and proprietary social media platforms has entered into an agreement to launch Tweetology, its tweet-curating widget, on the homepages of 49 websites in 15 markets operated by Radio One. Tweetology captures real-time streaming Tweets based on contributors and keywords the publisher chooses.
