Algerian National Radio has awarded a contract to Studerdistributor Decibel to supply and install a new radio center at the Palais des Nations Conference Center near Algiers. The new center will include four studios and the new Studer OnAir 1500 for the project.
Barix has rolled out an IP audio system to 300 Penny Market retail stores in Italy. Penny Market Italy is delivering music, advertisements and national-scale promotions through Penny FM, a live audio program stream that acts as a branded retail radio station. Barix audio-over-IP support the distribution of the stream to the individual stores, which is broadcast in real time. Penny Market Italy also uses the Barix Barimon monitoring tool to monitor all Barix devices through a dedicated server.
Leo Laporte, host of Premiere Radio Networks' nationally syndicated radio talk show "The Tech Guy," is now live from new studios with a new Axia Radius IP console. TWiT.tv installed an 18-fader Axia Element console in 2009 and replaced it with the Radius for the move. Telos Alliance Executive Director of Sales and Marketing Kirk Harnack, who also hosts TWiT.tv's "This Week in Radio Tech" show, was on hand to help christen the new console.
Europa Plus, a private radio network in Russia, has installed NeoGroupe's NeoScreener, NeoWinners, and NeoAgent applications. Reaching a daily audience of more than 10 million listeners, the Moscow-based network uses NeoGroupe's suite of applications to manage listener calls-ins, track and schedule contests, and generate multidimensional interaction with the audience through text messaging, smartphones, and the Internet.
