CINCINNATI—Teracom, a national network operator distributing all over-the-air radio and TV channels across Sweden, has chosen GatesAir for a network-wide FM upgrade.
Teracom selected GatesAir Flexiva transmitters, and the initial rollout phase will conclude in the first quarter of 2015, with installations scheduled for one dozen of its 30-plus FM stations. The remaining installations will conclude in 2016.

GatesAir is streamlining the delivery and installation process through integrated and pre-tested transmitter systems, simplifying transport across Sweden and accelerating the pace at which Teracom engineers can install and deploy the transmitters.
The PowerSmart 3D architecture of Flexiva transmitters also minimizes ongoing maintenance, featuring a broadband design that enables hot-swappable modules and power supplies while reducing spare parts. Lighter module and power supply weights additionally contribute to a reduction in labor costs, requiring only a single engineer to conduct service requirements. This also allows Teracom to more effectively allocate engineering resources across its operation.
