WASHINGTON—The Tower Industry Family Support Charitable Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, has been established to help provide financial assistance to family members of a severely injured, permanently disabled or deceased tower worker injured or killed in an accident stemming from working at heights on communication structures or other related on-the-job activities.
The foundation will formally launch during a reception and press conference held in conjunction with CTIA''s Super Mobility Week on Wednesday, September 10 from 5:15-7:30 p.m. (PDT) at the Sands Expo and Convention Center in Las Vegas.
During the reception, there will be a press conference to announce a major donation that helped to establish the foundation.
“We encourage all attendees at Super Mobility Week to join us for this inaugural Foundation event and help us spread the word about the resources available to tower workers and their families during times of need,” said Foundation President Jim Tracy, CEO of Legacy Telecommunications, Inc. in Burley, Wash.
The event is open to everyone in the industry, and beverages and hors d¹oeuvres will be served.
