WSM Added to National Register of Historic Places

Nashville, TN - Apr 29, 2011 - WSM-AM, the 50kW AM radio station located in Nashville, TN, has broadcast from its current tower site since 1932. Located in Brentwood near I-65, the 808-foot, the iconic diamond-shaped broadcast tower is a local landmark. The site has now been added to the National Register of Historic Places.

The station is most known as the home of The Grand Ole Opry, the world's longest running radio program.
