Dielectric to Showcase New Filters, Combiners in Nashville
Two of the products will make their debut at the Radio Show
August 29, 2016
RAYMOND, Maine—Antenna and RF provider Dielectric has announced plans to feature three new additions to its range of FM filters and combiners at the upcoming Radio Show. Two of the products, the Manifold Combiner and LPFM bandpass filters, will be shown for the first time at the show.
The Manifold Combiner (shown at right) is a multi-channel combiner that works with FM stations from 1 to 20 kW and can be specified for use with master antennas that feature four or more channels. Using a manifold design, the combiner is able to maintain consistent signal integrity and isolation for each channel with little distance-related signal loss or VSWR degradation, according to Dielectric.
The company will also debut its LPFM bandpass filters designed for low-power FM stations. Based on Dielectric’s UHF Powerlite series, the new filters are compact in size and offer stations to customize the number of resonators needed to isolate customers’ transmitters from adjacent signals. The filters are also offered in a cross-coupling design for signal isolation.
After premiering it at the 2016 NAB Show, Dielectric will also bring its FM two-channel combiner to the Radio Show. The product eliminates coaxial Tee junctions and associated coaxial line and elbows, which are generally used to multiplex two channels through the RF plant. It also provides signal isolation and a tunable common case design.
The 2016 Radio Show is set to take place at the Omni Nashville from Sept. 21-23. Dielectric will be located in booth 11.
