Condenser microphone

November 1, 2000

Audix USA A CX-211: With a frequency response of 20Hz to 20kHz, the CX-211 features a brass housing, steel mesh grill screen, and a black satin finish. A cardioid condenser microphone with a one-inch gold vapor diaphragm, bass roll-off and 10dB pad, the CX-211 requires phantom power of 48 volts to 52 volts. The CX-211 is oriented so the sound signal enters through the front end of the microphone, allowing for additional rejection of ambient noise. This is coupled with the microphone's ability to handle sound pressure levels in excess of 145dB. Optional accessories include a 2-channel phantom power supply (APS-2).
