StreamGuys Boosts Ad Services with Google DFP Software

Integration will provide similar method of stream monetization for users March 25, 2016

BAYSIDE, Calif.—With an eye toward increasing its advertising support for online content delivery, StreamGuys has announced the integration of Google DFP software. With this integration, available in StreamGuys’ SGPlayer multimedia player, the company says that broadcasters, podcasters and content publishers will now have a similar approach to stream monetization.

Google DFP, which stands for Double Click for Publishers, is an ad management solution that can help content providers and publishers sell, schedule, deliver and measure digital ad inventory. The software features Google-powered ad delivery and is able to use SGPlayer’s HTML5 capability for compatibility across desktop and mobile devices.

StreamGuys says that with Google DFP it will extend its SaaS services for customers, providing a lighter weight option with its ad insertion service. The DFP service will also provide ad targeting and audience segmentation. StreamGuys claims it will also handle player configuration and DFP integration.

StreamGuys will be on hand at the 2016 NAB Show, located at booth N5006.
