Sennheiser Tweaks HD 280 PRO Design

Will debut at AES Convention September 30, 2016

LOS ANGELES—Sennheiser’s HD 280 PRO monitoring headphones have received a new design with the goal of improving user comfort. Sennheiser is expected to showcase the newly designed headphones at the AES Convention.

The HD 280’s new headband features differently designed padding to keep the fontanelle area of the head free from pressure. The headphones weigh in at 285g and have an adjustable length of more than a dozen settings. A swivel joint, rotatable ear cups and soft ear pads are also included.

The headphones offer a THD of 0.1 percent and a linear production that spans a frequency response of 8 to 25,000 kHz. It has 64 ohms of impedance and features a single-sided, coiled cable with 3.5mm/6.3mm plug. HD 280 PRO is capable of noise cancellation up to 32 dB.

Sennheiser will showcase its new headset at booth 411 and in demo room 503 at the AES Convention.
