Inovonics Introduces DAB/DAB+ Receivers for the International Market

Now offering 660 DAB/DAB+ Confidence Monitor and 662 DAB/DAB+ SiteStreamer September 9, 2016

FELTON, Calif. — U.S.-based manufacturer Inovonics is introducing two new monitor projects aimed at DAB/DAB+ stations.

The new 660 DAB/DAB+ Confidence Monitor will provide off-air reception of all standard DAB & DAB+ broadcasts in a compact INOmini package. It will tune all of Band III, conforming to worldwide standards and meeting a need for monitoring digital broadcasts off-air. The 660 is initially configured by way of its front panel LCD screen with jog-wheel navigation of the menu tree.

The front-panel displays the most-essential DAB and DAB+ program associated data information. In addition, PAD metadata can be logged and analyzed with a connected computer via USB. Alarms for carrier loss, digital program loss, and audio loss are provided on the LCD front-panel and rear-panel tallies. The 660 also has analog L/R and AES-digital program line outputs.

The web-enabled 662 DAB/DAB+ SiteStreamer provides remote audio monitoring via the internet, allowing the user to monitor up to six sources of DAB/DAB+ programming from a remote site. You can tune-in, switch modes, listen remotely via streamed audio and receive email or text alarms for various reception problems.

Like all Inovonics SiteStreamers, the 662 supports StationRotation for round robin sequencing of pre-set channels. When the StationRotation function is enabled, the unit will tune to the next station on the list, listen to that station for the programmed interval and then cycle to the next preset.

The compact 1/3-rack-size unit of both the 660 and the 662 integrates with other Inovonics INOmini products, including RDS encoders and decoders, and AM/FM/HD-Radio confidence monitors with IP control and streaming audio.
