Audio-Technica Debuts Desk Stand and Boundary Microphones

Mics are compatible with company’s digital wireless systems February 2, 2016

STOW, Ohio—Audio-Techinca has introduce a pair of new desk stand and boundary microphones that are compatible with its System 10 Pro Rack-Mount Digital Wireless System and Stack-Mount Digital Wireless System, the ATW-T1007 and ATW-T1006.

The ATW-T1007 System 10 microphone desk stand transmitter is designed for phantom-powered, condenser gooseneck mics with a three-pin XLRM-type output. It pairs with the System 10 Pro or System 10 digital wireless receiver for 2.4 GHz wireless performance. Features for the mic include a user switch to toggle between talk and mute; two red/green LEDs to indicate different modes and battery levels; comes with a three-pin XLRF-type input; and offers -6dB, 0dB, and 6dB levels of input gain. The ATW-T1006 includes the same features, but is designed to provide natural sound quality for conference rooms.

Both units use a 3.7V rechargeable lithium-ion battery for nine hours of use. Additional features include digital 24-bit/48 kHz wireless operation, switchable low-cut filter, and system ID display on the bottom of the unit.

Audio-Techinca will release both microphones in the spring of 2016. ATW-T1007 will be available for $489, and ATW-T1006 will start at $559.
