Wheatstone to Debut AirAura X4 Audio Processor at NAB Show

FM and HD audio processor April 24, 2017

NEW BERN, N.C. — The 2017 NAB Show will feature the premiere of Wheatstone’s new AirAura X4 audio processor. This FM and HD audio processor reportedly offers a new system where all stages of processing are aware of each other, per Wheatstone’s press release.

The AirAura X4 allows the processors to share information between all stages; this is done with the help of the iAGC algorithm, which is shared with limiters and clippers in the unit. The system also features a 31-band limiter that works directly with the X4 clipper.

Other additions to the AirAura X4 include a redesigned bass processor, enhancement controls in the iAGC, Wheatstone’s HD/FM audio alignment, and AES insert points.

The AirAura X4 will be showcased at Wheatstone’s booth, N6531, throughout the 2017 NAB Show in Las Vegas.
